PFTE gaskets comprised of virgin PFTE, mechanical PFTE, filled PFTE, etched PFTE, expanded PFTE and microcellular PFTE can be fabricated, by Sutton-Clark into any sort of custom gasket that your specific application requires.
PFTE gasket stock can be supplied as sheets, cut gaskets, envelope gaskets, joint sealant and seal tapes.
PFTE is used as a custom gasket material because of its ability to remain stable when exposed to many of the chemicals used in industrial applications. The PFTE material will not corrode and provide a tight seal to prevent leaks.
PFTE gaskets are available in strengths ranging from 200PSI to 1400PSI. PFTE material is designed for use in temperatures up to 750 degrees F.

PFTE gaskets are used in many applications, including lighting, sound and acoustic, electronic, food production, medical, automotive and athletic industries. In most cases, it is classified as a food grade material, allowing it to be used within medical and food production industries.

Sutton-Clark also offers a wide range of elastomeric and metallic gaskets.
Porous PFTE is highly compressible sponge like material is perfectly suited for gasketing. It seals against smooth, rough, and damaged flanges without adhering. It is ideal for glass-lined systems and flanges. Low friction, nonflammable material resists chemicals and moisture, and is chemically inert. Porous PFTE has all of the performance characteristics of PTFE because it is PTFE. Operating temperature is from minus 320 deg. F to 500 deg. F. Melting point is 621 deg. F. Average pore size is 50 microns; 55% voids. Not pressure rated. Compressible PTFE comes in sheets or rolls. Standard sizes are square foot increments, but long rolls are available. Interim slit widths are also available. This material can be etched for bonding.
Expanded PFTE gaskets are virgin PFTE to which a stress resistance has been added by means of molecular rearrangement during manufacture. This process ensures that the molecular chains from which the PFTE is constructed, do not arrange themselves into set patterns. This means that expanded PFTE gaskets possess no structural weakness (grain) and expand and contract equally in all directions. Because no additives are required, expanded PFTE gaskets also possess the unique chemical resistance of virgin PFTE.

PFTE® is principally used as a gasket material because of it's capability to remain unaffected by the majority of chemicals used in industry. It is also classified, in most cases, as a food grade material, making it acceptable to both medical and food production industries.
Virgin PFTE gaskets are by far the least expensive of the three varieties, and are used in most general applications. Filled PFTE is a gasket material with a virgin PFTE base to which a substance is added during manufacture to improve the sealing characteristics. This "filler" usually is glass or graphite particles although ceramics has sometimes been used. The resulting gasket material is strong, yet highly compressible with very good, though not universal, chemical resistance.
